Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers

Crime Stoppers is a cooperative effort between the local media, the police departments of Silicon Valley, and a citizen Board of Directors. Once a week an unsolved police case is presented to the public. Citizens are urged to call (408) 947 - STOP if they have information on any other serious crime. Rewards up to $1,000 are offered for information leading to an arrest.

This program allows citizens with information about serious crime to report it without giving their name. Tips resulting in an arrest of suspects entitle the caller (identified by a code number given to them) to a cash reward. Unsolved cases are highlighted in weekly TV, radio and newspaper accounts. Tax deductible donations to San Jose Crime Stoppers are applied to the reward fund. To donate to Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers, click here.
