Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers hosts several events throughout the year to acknowledge the efforts of local law enforcement agencies, to strengthen relationships with community partners, and to develop new partnerships with stake holders in Silicon Valley.
During the fall, typically in October, the Board of Directors hosts the annual Friendraiser at the Capital Club in Downtown San José. This networking event is an opportunity for Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers to create new partnerships and strengthen those already formed.
In April, Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers celebrate the men and women of law enforcement with the annual Recognition Dinner “An Evening with the Stars.” In 2007, the Board of Directors held the dinner on April 6, 2007 at Villa Ragusa in Downtown Campbell.
Board Members do outreach at community events throughout the year, sharing the benefits of Crime Stoppers and seeking new sponsorship opportunities. In June 2007, Board President Jim Cogan presented to the League of California Cities. To view this presentation, click here.
